Dr Ali has a keen interest in keeping up to date in the latest medical research and guideline to offer his patient’s the best possible evidence-based care. He has first author publications including in high impact journals and has presented his research both nationally and internationally at conferences. He maintains his practise in the UK which enables him to keep up to date with latest evidence-based guidelines.
Prior to joining King’s, Dr Ali was Medical Director and Consultant in Family medicine in one of the largest healthcare providers in Dubai. He was an approved GP and medical student trainer by NHS England prior to relocating to Dubai from London. He has a strong interest in training the next generation of doctors to a high international standard and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
During his free time, he has a keen interest in Sports where he plays football twice a week. He was previously a football club doctor in the UK including for Charlton Athletic FC, Boreham Wood FC, Ebbsfleet united FC and was interviewed for the Arsenal FC Job. He currently provides medical services to the UAE national Cricket team, amongst other clubs in the UAE and carries out sports medicals for professional athletes including FIFA medicals. He can carry out independent cardiac exercise stress tests for patients to ensure they can safely take part in Sports.
